Eleven Rivers Growers Managers Participate in the Seminar: Freedom of Union and Collective Negotioation by AHIFORES

On October 25, our Chairman Mr. Antonio Beltrán Ochoa and our CEO, Mr. Georgius Gotsis, attended the Seminar: Freedom of Union and Collective Negotiation – The New Labor Amendment in the Farming Sector, organized by the International Produce Alliance to Promote a Socially Responsible Industry (AHIFORES).

This seminar had as a purpose to provide assistants with the information needed about freedom of union and collective negotiation, as well as the most important changes derived from the new Labor Amendment of 2019 and its repercussion on companies from the farming sector.

The main concepts derived from the Labor Amendment of 2019 and the processes to update the freedom of union policy and collective negotiation within your farming company were made known in a general manner, with an approach in the farming sector.

The event was intended to raise awareness among attendees on the changes of the Labor Amendment of 2019: Main changes and long-term vision, basic concepts of freedom of union and other forms of collective liaison, domestic and foreign standards, all of these are focused on the effects it will have for the farming industry in Mexico.

This event was also the setting where a conversation between Judith Méndez León – Chairman of AHIFORES and Mario Steta Gándara – VP of the National Agriculture Council (CNA) occurred, with members of various unions in Mexico.
