On September 18, our annual Training Program for 2020-2021 farming season started, and it was entitled: Good Agricultural Practices presented by Chemical Eng. Carlos Adonay Gastélum Barreras.
In this course, participants were able to learn about the basic aspects that must be taken care of or monitor their compliance while working in production units, in order to minimize pollution risks towards farming products.
The subjects addressed in the course were as follows:
-Risk analysis (field).
– Land history.
-Transportation to the packaging facility.
The purpose of this training is to provide skills to the personnel, so they are able to identify and/or convey which are the main contaminants that can affect farming products and how to avoid, reduce or control them from sowing to transportation.
Chemical Eng. IQ. Carlos A. Gastélum is a Chemical Engineer with an Industrial specialty. He worked for over two years as a quality control supervisor at Pasteurizadora de Sinaloa. Later, he became a Plant Manager at Lácteos de Guaymas. For a little over a year, he served as Quality and Food Safety Coordinator at Sistemas de Producción Intensiva del Noroeste and for the 3 years he has been part of the technical team at Eleven Rivers Growers.
