Indra Nayleth Ruelas Medina is from El Castillo, Navolato, Sinaloa. She is a Chemical Pharmaceutical Biologist, collaborator for more than 6 years in Productora Agrícola Florencia.
She is currently the Food Quality Manager, she is one of the agricultural technicians who received recognition for the outstanding performance in the Training Program 2017-2018 in the evaluation of each of the five axes of the Eleven Rivers Certification Scheme v2.4.
In Productora Agrícola Florencia, I started working in November 2012, the job that i do is Food Quality.
I am currently the Food Quality Manager, my main function is the supervision of the quality of the product, I carry out the cleaning verification of the facilities so that they do not put the health of the product and of our consumers at risk, the safety team and I impart training to the field and packing team on BPA and BPM, I participate in the audits we conducted during the safra.
The biggest challenge I have faced was at the beginning when I started working, I had little experience in the area, in the agricultural field, I came from the health sector and things were totally different. It was difficult for me to adapt the position, there were moments in which I wanted to run, but little by little I adapted, I committed myself, I took it as a challenge and I went ahead.
It is important, due to the measures that are applied, an efficient control of our processes is guaranteed, thanks to the stages or points where the danger can be controlled. The system guarantees the safety of the food. Having implemented the HACCP system reduces the need for inspection and analysis of final products and above all increases the confidence of the client and consumer.
We guarantee the safety of our workers in this way, we have implemented the Safety and Hygiene Commission, we have an internal civil protection plan, we have fire fighting equipment, we conduct noise studies, lighting, we provide training to the Florencia’s team, we grant them personal protection equipment.
They are important because it is a requirement of the client to have these certifications to be able to export and / or sell our product, it is also a plus to have them, they give us prestige, confidence to our clients and satisfaction to ourselves as a company, in the scheme of Eleven Rivers started in 2013.
In my experience it has been a team work, it has been a process of adaptation to the constant versions of the scheme, to the advisors since it constantly changes every season or sometimes in the same season, but with respect to the scheme it is very complete and is very beneficial for the company.
They have influenced the company to improve because its work is constant, it is a complete program that covers all aspects.
The importance is vital not to stagnate and fall behind, is to enrich our skills, gives you greater knowledge which you can apply in your work area, and you have both personal and professional growth.
I felt excited, that was the main objective to pass the training course, the goal was achieved and I felt satisfied.
To thank the company for which I work for allowing me to train, and to eleven rivers for providing training.
