On November 24, the Eleven Rivers Technical Advisors participates with a group of students and researchers from diverse areas such as biology, information and genomics in the workshop “Informatics and comparative genomics tools” at the facilities of the Technological Innovation Park (PIT) of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (UAS).
The purpose of the course was to show attendees the technological innovations available for the analysis of massive sequencing technology data, through the use of specialized software to generate genomic assemblies, which are analyzed for their application for comparative genomics purposes.
In the training the attendees worked with topics such as: bases for the analysis of sequences of microbial genomes obtained from modern sequencing platforms where undergraduate, masters and doctoral students shared experiences in the form of presentation of their research projects in collaboration with the LANIIA bioinformatics unit.
The facilitators were professors from the Faculty of Computer Science and the Faculty of Chemical-Biological Sciences of the UAS, as well as the Center for Research in Food and Development (CIAD) and the PIT-UAS, through its Laboratory of Engineering and Science of data.
