On December, the Eleven Rivers Growers Board of Directors appointed Mr. Antonio Beltrán as acting Chairman of the Board. Mr. Beltrán has a degree in Agribusiness by the California Polytechnic State University, and; has an accreditation of special studies in Administration and Management by Harvard University. The IPADE Business School also certifies him under the Advanced Management Program for Agribusinesses and Senior Management AD-2.
Mr. Beltran is the General Manager of Agricola BelHer, a family-owned company, specializing in tomato production and exports. He recently became a founder and General Director of Agricola Don Memo, a joint venture between Agricola BelHer and Calavo Growers, Inc. to produce tomatoes all year round through high-tech protected agriculture in Toliman, Jalisco, Mexico.
He is currently President of the Sinaloa Tomato Cluster and member of the Board of Directors of Asociacion de Agricultores Del Rio Culiacan (Growers Association of Culiacan) (AARC, for its initials in Spanish).
The Eleven Rivers Growers Board of Directors is very pleased to have the vision of a young and qualified leader, who has been actively involved in growers associations of the State of Sinaloa, and someone who has had the opportunity to participate in international events of the industry such as PMA, Fruit Logistica, AgriTech among others.
Eleven Rivers Growers is a non-profit organization which belongs to Confederacion de Asociaciones Agricolas del Estado de Sinaloa (Confederation of Agricultural Associations in the State of Sinaloa) (CAADES, for its initials in Spanish), which purpose is to improve the performance of companies in terms of food safety, process quality, traceability, social and environmental responsibility; all of these aspects are verified on a weekly basis to ensure ongoing compliance of certified companies.
