Interview: Eleven Rivers “A Sinaloa Proposal on Food Safety”

On February 27, Raymundo Elizalde, Director of Eleven Rivers participated in an interview called “Eleven Rivers: A Sinaloa Proposal on Food Safety” organized by Inocuo Television as part of its training program, where through continuums training we seek to establish a Culture of food safety in Mexico.

In the interview, Mr. Elizalde shared how Eleven Rivers was constituted as a non-profit agricultural organization which administers a Certification Scheme for fresh vegetables in Sinaloa, he addressed how the scheme has currently supported certified companies to generate the culture of compliance in all collaborators, based on the five aspects reviewed by Eleven Rivers:

  • Process Quality System
  • Agriculture Production System
  • Packaging, warehouse and shipping
  • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
  • Social and Environmental Responsibility

Emphasis was placed on the importance of generating this culture of safety and social responsibility in companies, explained a bit about market trends which make the buyer and distributors more and more informed and demanding about the characteristics of the companies and the products that are consumed; currently is not enough to comply, but also to have the possibility to probe all the activities that are carried out continuously in the companies to ensure the quality of the products, reason for this, the relevance of that there are programs like Eleven Rivers to fulfill the commitment to offer consumers fresh, healthy, safe and sustainable products.

Inocuo Televisión is an interactive television portal that broadcasts online live events through the site www.inocuo.tv and broadcasts on Facebook Live about outstanding information on food safety issues. Each content offers relevant, useful and reliable information that enriches the knowledge of the viewer, aimed primarily at all those involved with the agri-food sector in Mexico.

Inocuo was born in 2009 in Jalisco, Mexico, as a response to the need to spread knowledge, promote competitiveness, sustainable development, functional foods and develop a social responsibility on issues of health, safety and food safety.

The specialization in these issues attracted the attention of opinion leaders who in the form of interviews began to share their knowledge towards an increasingly defined and interested audience. In summer of the same year, it began with the transmission of live events for the agricultural and food sector, allowing an international reach and diffusion.

The objective of Inocuo is to contribute to the construction of a culture of food safety and social conscience in this sense, it has been a constant in all the efforts of the company; work hand in hand with organizations and brands sharing the goal of obtaining greater food security, sustainable business and a better quality of life.

Institutions such as Senasica of Sagarpa, Peru Foundation, FAO, FDA, University of Guadalajara, Iteso, among others, have already played a leading role in their television programming, sharing high-value information and projecting themselves as opinion leaders.
