Eleven Rivers signs a cooperation agreement with CONAFOR.

On December Eleven Rivers and the National Forest Commission signs a cooperation agreement as part of the National Forestry Program “PRONAFOR” this program aims to: promote the sustainable use of the country’s forest resources; to revive the economy of the forestry sector; and contribute to the generation of employment, income and improvement of the quality of life of forest dwellers. It also seeks to maintain and increase the provision of environmental goods and services to society and reduce the carbon emissions generated by deforestation and forest degradation.

The signing of this agreement helps us to strengthen the sustainability of agricultural enterprises and the initiatives of farmers through the donation of plants of different species that are being planted on the roads and perimeters of crop lots.

Trees have the ability to fix and absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) naturally and thereby regulate the climate. They are also important providers of environmental services, which also contribute to climate change adaptation efforts and improving the working conditions of farm workers.
