Four months after the start of the new federal administration in the United States, there have been no problems with Mexican vegetables, but in the event of declining demand it would be for market issues rather than for public policy, said the Eleven Rivers Chairman Georgius Gotsis Fontes.
“In the case of the tomato, exports continue to grow; I insist, it is a matter of markets at a given moment that could have repercussions, but not a subject of demand and not a theme of Trump,” he said.
The Chairman of Eleven Rivers highlight that agri-food exports have increased by 7 percent per year, where only avocados and berries do at a rate of 27 percent, so that changes in trading conditions would be given by issues of consumer demand, a situation favoring for Mexican vegetables.
