On november 27th and 28th, at the Torre Académica facilities of the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa, the Eleven Rivers Growers Technical advisors participate in the United Global Nations Global Compact Workshop and how integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to Social Responsibility Programs.
This Workshop was organizer by Sinergia Social and imparted by Emilio Guerra Díaz, the United Global Nations Compact Director in Mexico.
The Sustainable Development Goals, otherwise known as the Global Goals, are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.
These 17 Goals build on the successes of the Millennium Development Goals, while including new areas such as climate change, economic inequality, innovation, sustainable consumption, peace and justice, among other priorities. The goals are interconnected often the key to success on one will involve tackling issues more commonly associated with another.
The Eleven Rivers Growers Certification Scheme is compound by five axes and the fifth one is about Social Responsibility, this axe comprises the subjects of greater in the agricultura industry, such as temporary work of migrating population, as well as compliance with laws, protection to the rights of children, preventive medicine, safety and health in the workplace and performance evaluation of environment protection.
