Within the framework of the reform for the Field Transformation, the Government of the Republic through the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food and with the aim of promoting a structural change that allows a new stage in agriculture Mexico, National Thematic Forums are being held, involving various actors from the agri-food sector, who will make proposals for the design of public policies and changes to the legal framework of the primary sector of Mexico.

In this regard, Eleven Rivers has been invited to participate in the National Thematic Forum: Market Reordering, Balance of Supply and Demand, Fair Prices (Control Panel) and International Trade; Which will be held on June 18 of this year in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco.

Eleven Rivers will participate in International Trade, where Mr. Heriberto Vlaminck Seidel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Eleven Rivers, will present the paper: “Integral Certification Schemes with Continuous Verification as a Promotion Tool for The Mexican Horticultural Products. ”

The central proposal is to show the Federal Government that improving the capacity to meet higher quality standards has the potential to create new forms of competitive advantage and new promotion strategies to maintain or expand access to better market segments, both domestic and export, for which it is important to cultivate and maintain a level of continuous compliance.

To this end, regulatory mechanisms must be strengthened so that producers can easily access the federal government’s economic and human resources in terms of implementation, certification and continuous verification of Fruit and Vegetable Producers under Integrated Regulatory Schemes that include food safety and social responsibility and as promotional tools.

The Federal Government and the food industry must invest sufficient material and managerial resources to ensure a comprehensive and continuous compliance of horticultural exports of Mexico as a first step for a solid promotion campaign abroad.

In the next newsletter, we will be informed about the results of this Forum and the progress made in the proposal made by Eleven Rivers.
