Students from the Chapingo University visit CAADES facilities

With the purpose of completing their academic training, in subjects of agricultural economy and rural development, the students of the fifth year of the career of Agronomist specializing in Rural Sociology, visited the CAADES facilities to learn more about the activities carried out by this confederation.

Mr. Manuel García López, Director of this institution, pointed out the importance of young university students preparing themselves in important subjects such as the influence of the primary sector within the economy. He stressed that this activity contributes 12% of the Gross Domestic Product in the state of Sinaloa.

He asserted that the Sinaloan producers have stood out with the passage of time for the technification and the ordering of their crops.

For his part, Dr. Gerardo Gómez Gonzales, professor of the group, said that CAADES is an example institution for many organizations within the country, being an important negotiator of the demands and the defense of fresh produce industry.

“CAADES has been an important reference at different times for Mexico’s public policies,” said the professor.

The group of students also will attend the Faculty of Economics of the Sinaloa University in Culiacán, as well as the south of the state to see issues related to fruit growing, visit the state of Nayarit and culminate this trip in the state of Jalisco.
