On August 21, the Panel: The Keys of Mexican Horticulture from a Business Perspective was held as part of the 4th edition of the National Convention of Plant and Food Health in Produce (CONAFIH, in Spanish) in which our President Mr. Antonio Beltrán Ochoa, Manager of Agrícola Belher, Mr. Felipe Alberto Gaxiola Laso, Manager of PG Farms, and Mr. Carlos Armando Espinoza Pablos, Manager of Sol y Arenas and Anthony S. de R.L. of C.V. participated, an event moderated by our manager Mr. Georgius Gotsis Fontes.

The panel aimed to analyze the most current issues of the horticultural industry in Mexico; where does our country have to work in terms of Food Safety and what are the Social Responsibility issues which should be reinforced in companies.

Also, other items to reflect on and review were as follows:

•        Tomato dumping, its approaches

•        The entrance into new markets

•        The new plant health challenges: the case of the rugged virus in tomato and other threats

•        How is horticulture from Mexico and Sinaloa visualized in the next 10 years?
